Enquire

Tell us which route, and when

Choose a route and a departure, tell us how many of you are walking, and say a little about the walking you do at home. An enquiry costs nothing and holds no place. You can ask about a route before you have settled on a date.

The office in Kendal

Owen Pryce, Trips and bookings. He keeps the bed count for every hut on all six routes through the season, so he knows which dates still have room.

Office
4 Fellside Yard, Kendal LA9 4ZD, United Kingdom
Hours
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (UK time)

Not sure which one suits you? Choose Not sure yet and tell us about your walking below.

Every departure is a Saturday. Each trip page shows which of these dates its route runs on and how many places are left. Full dates keep a waiting list.

Most walkers book alone or as a pair and join a group.

Owen calls the number you give. Without one, he emails first to arrange the call.

Numbers help most: ‘about 15 km and 800 m up’ tells us more than ‘fairly fit’.

We use your details only to answer your enquiry and to book your trip.

Thank you, your enquiry is with us.

If something else comes to mind before Owen calls, write to office@waymarkwalks.co.uk and quote the route you chose.

What happens after you send it

  1. Owen Pryce reads every enquiry and calls you to talk through the route. He walked all six routes himself before he took over bookings, so ask him about any day.

  2. A £250 deposit holds your place. The balance is due eight weeks before departure.

  3. Before you travel we send printed route notes with the elevation profile, and the train and bus times to the start village.

Insurance with mountain rescue cover is required, and we cannot take you on a route without it.
